K300A and K301A are two new virtual care tracking codes required for any OHIP virtual care service provided starting from October 1, 2021. K300A identifies that you connected with the patient via video (i.e. Zoom, MS Teams, WebEx) while K301A indicates you connected with the patient via audio only (i.e. No video, such as telephone or video turned off). Therefore, if you use anyone of the following codes, you are now required to include either K300A or K301A:
K080A
K081A
K082A
K083A
If you do not include K300A or K301A with any of the above codes, OHIP will reject your claim with VTC-Virtual Tech Code Required.
